Why did I start Becoming Berkshire?

I started an investment partnership with a few close friends back in 2016, and since then, we have grown the fund well into seven figures. As I continue to manage and grow this fund, I want to apply the lessons Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger taught, as I believe they have assembled possibly the greatest company ever.

What better way to study the greats than by closely examining Berkshire Hathaway on a year-by-year account? As a student of history and financial markets, I started this substack with the main goal of learning from the best. I write this blog solely to document what I learn.

I firmly believe that reading Buffett’s annual letters is likely the best education in finance one could achieve. As part of my research, I enjoy listening to albums, watching movies, and reading books that came out in the year of my research to get me in the zone. It is undoubtedly a labor of love.

I hope you enjoy reading as much as I have enjoyed researching and writing!
